Production Log Week 4
The duties that i did this week for my role consisted of me sorting out all the music and ensuring that is all on the computer that is connected to the sound mixing desk to play the tracks from.
This week has been successful as he VT operator and I managednto sort out all the runs downs and extra pre recorded footage that was missing ensuring that it was all on a ma and edited to the best of our ability.
During this week i could have changed my attendance as missed a lesson that then lead to me falling behind in the work so i need to develop and improve my attendance as it will improve my contribution towards the class.
I worked well with my team mates as we worked well to complete the given Tasks, on the live day i believe my performance went well as i kept up to speed with he production and the directors ques however i could have been more careful with the sounds levels as at parts some of the sound was crackling and it kind of ruined parts of the production as it wouldn't of sounded appealing to rhw audience.

Production Meeting Reflection 3
This week has been a success due to the fact Jack and I managed to get all the extra footage that was needed to put into pre-recorded parts of the show that were needed in order to complete the show highlights and the run down in time for production on Thursday
Next week I intend to add my section on sound to the final script and finishing off editing the 30 second beginning run down however the only parts I need are Omar's history of hip hop and the interviews of people on their views on the music videos and I also intend to ready myself for the live day on the following Thursday. Also by Monday I intend to have finished the final product of the beginning run down for the show with the pre-recorded footage.
This week I worked with Jack the VT operator on capturing excess footage for the highlights, run down and other parts that well be in the show along side the run down.

Treatments For Pre-recorded Features
What is the feature about?
|
How will it be put together?
|
Who will be required for it from in and outside the team?
|
Where will it be filmed?
|
When will it be filmed and edited?
|
Dance Competition –
A competition for the audience that they send in that will be shown on the show
|
This will be filmed with people from our school so we don’t have to ask random people outside of school, and then we will record them in the dance competition
|
We will need Kimberly and then we will need Jordan Fakile in order to perform a dance competition, as they are both outside the team this will be easy to record as we can do it during school times
|
This will be filmed outside of school on the streets near school so therefore we don’t have to travel far and waste time on recording them dancing
|
This will be filmed on the of June as we are behind on time
|
Interview on the streets
In the interview – the guests will be (Ross)and (Lauren) the interviewer will be Connor
|
This will be filmed around school outside so it looks more realistic as we will be using people we know but they will pretend to be random people off the street
|
For the interviews I will need (Ross) and (Lauren) as they will be acting as random people who will be asked questions about the music video
|
This will be shot outside of school just outside on the streets in different locations
|
This will be filmed during this week when everyone is free 6-7 of June
|
History of Hip-Hop – Omar will talk about the most popular songs of hip-hop in history where he will tell the audience about it
Omars 5 fav hip hop videos ever ( get clips ) couple of sentences on each videos.
|
Omar will be sat down talking to the camera about the history of hip-hop most likely in front of a green screen where we can add things to the background
|
For this we will need Omar as he is the one who knows everything about hip-hop and he loves it so he will have more passion for it
|
This will be filmed somewhere in the music department as the subject has got something to do with music so it would make sense
|
This will have to be filmed this week as time is short so 3-5 of June
|

Production Meeting Reflection 2
According to the group I am working at a good pace keeping up to date with the my work along side the production.
This week I successfully managed to complete my risk assessment for things that can occur whilst sound mixing during the production and I had the chance to have a look at the equipment and what area of the studio I will be working in as the production goes on when it is being recorded.
I need to develop a greater understanding of the equipment that I will soon be using in time for the production so that the sound all runs smoothly, I may also need to double check to see if there are any other risks that can occur when sound mixing.
The following week I intend to start my scripting and time que's for the production in order for me to know when and what things to do as the production is being recorded.
This week I worked along side the camera operators and floor manger find risk that can occur whilst sound mixing during the production.

Production Meeting Reflection 1
The group thought that my idea was good however i didn't have much of a U.S.P(unique selling point) to grab the audiences attention more. The group thought that I had a good way of engaging the audience through Skype calling or via twitter.
The idea I chose to vote for was Chloe's and I liked how the audience was engaged through games such as what is the missing lyric in this song and contacting the show via snap-chat to get the audiences review on the show however I like the unique selling point which was the Hot Or Not on celebrity fashion which could interest a high majority of the viewers and the fact that her idea had a good plan and structure to it that made the production seem to flow.
All the amount of live and pre-recorded footage was the same as the brief, in my opinion I didn't think that Chloe's idea didn't need any development in certain area's. People though that my idea of the Skype calls could be incorporated into the final idea and the fact that the audience can be engaged through some time of game to keep them interested and entertained. I chose to include pre-recorded dance videos as a fun factor of the show.

Treatment For Multi-Camera Music Magazine Show
The length of this magazine show will range from 28-30 minutes of footage provided to the viewers. The genre of the show is a music chat magazine show, it will contain interviews, music videos and guests on the show. The live content shown will contain things that have occurred throughout the week and top song.
Title of the show
The title of my magazine show would be called Cosmic Tunes and I chose the word cosmic meaning distinct from anything else and the word tunes as the show is music related. Below is the logo that I created to represent my show that was created in fireworks.
I would be using one these form of font to represent my show.

These colours would be used in my magazine show to represent the theme being exciting as they are not dull however the colours will go together to match the logo, theme and title of the music video.

Content Ideas
In my magazine show it will contain a quiz/fire round consisting of questions such as what was Beyonce's latest song, do you prefer android or I-phone just to keep the audience engaged as fun factor to the show. The interview in the show will be held by the presenters along side to people who will share their views on the music videos viewed during the show before day release and the quiz and views on the competition between all the music videos. There will be a time slot where a few people viewing the programme can call in or place the questions in through twitter via hasting #cosmictunes/followed by their name and age so that there will be audience interaction alongside the show but communicated through a social network such as twitter.
Running order
- Introduction to the show along with 15 seconds of footage from all the music videos created by the class then an introduction to the show and what the show will consist of and this will be during the first 5 minutes of the show.
- The guest will then be invited onto the show and they will have a quick fire round of questions to answer within a minute then a general discussion on music videos and who their favourite artist is and why for the second 5 minutes.
- The next 12 minutes of the show will consist of 2 music videos and then the guests opinions on that and do a small outro before for the break till they are back.,
- 2 minutes of adverts whilst the show goes on a break.
- intro back to the show after the break then the next 8 minutes will be another music video and the guest viewers on that.
- The next 13 minutes will be a q&a from the audience or viewers and this contacts the show via twitter.
- The last 2 minutes will be an outro and the guest leaving the show and small clips from the music video at which the guests though was the best.
Studio design
These are the two studio designs I have come up with and will be planning to use the most effective one as they both have an establishing shot to capture backdrop, guests and presenter that are on the show along with the quiz board.
Sketch of background
This the sketch background that I created in fireworks. This was created to suit the overall design of my idea for the show to make sure that all areas of the show is caught by the camera.
Visual Style
I want there to be graphics and the begging with the name of the show and the logo and to ensure that it is appealing to the viewers. I want the camera angles to be neutral however there can be close ups every now and then to capture the guest and presenters reactions and facial expressions in order to keep the viewers entertained.
Presentation Style
I want the presenters to be informal to keep a good vibe throughout however i want them to maintain the focus on entertaining the audience as if the show was formal not many people would watch it as there wouldn't really be many jokes or laughs to engage the viewers. I'd like the audience to view this magazine show as an entertainment programme.
